Painting a non-metallic Bronco roof
Hey, everyone:
I have an '88 full-size Bronco. It's black and tan, but I'm interested in painting the entire truck black. Unfortunately, the tan back half of the roof is fiberglass (or what appears to be fiberglass), and the intentionally rough surface doesn't look as though it would be easy to sand and/or paint. Anyone ever tried this? Any ideas?
Thanks--
Gary

It can be painted just like the rest of the vehicle. First and most important is to wash and scrub the top with strong detergents and then use paint prep (available from paint stores) on it. Prime the top with a good primer (I have used epoxy 2 part) and then paint it. If you want it a flat stock color then buy the stock flat color.
It is not too tricky, it is all in the prep.
Good luck
Bob
