I have a 79 F250 4x4 8 lug with 16.5 inch tires on it someone just gave me a set of 35's that are for a 16 inch rim

2 questions

1. Will 35's fit under a stock truck (No body or suspension lift)
2. Will these 16 inch tires fit on the stock 79 rims or must i find a 16 inch rim to fit the tire? Thanks

1. Maybe if you dont mind cutting you fenders
2. NO WAY! 16" tires are meant for 16" rims only! It even says that on the tire.

Any other years rims are 16 that will fit? I dont feel like buying new rims but used rims at junk yard would work.

Get rims off newer Ford trucks, up to '96.

Those 35's are probably 12.5" wide and you are gonna need 16" rims that are 10" wide. You might be able to get away with some 8" wide wheels but the tires will probably be a little rounded across the center section and they wont wear right. I dont know if you are gonna find any stock wheels much bigger than 8" wide most are probably 7". Your best bet is to get some new white spoke wheels which are about as cheap as you can get. Maybe sell those free tires and put the money towards something that will fit with the wheels you already got.
