I must say. . .that is the most kick A** factory defense weapon! Whats the explaination for this? Also. . . why was the engine knocking so bad?

anyone who belives this could happen to them is an idiot! do u hear the motor? nocking, ticking, whatever... anyone who would drive a truck sounding like that deserves what they get.

Well thats the question. . . why is it doing that. Obviously I wouldn't want to drive it sounding like that. However. . . . isn't there a procedure the engine goes through to clean out the exhaust? I wonder if thats part of it. . . and its just malfunctioning?

The most likely reason for the sound and the flames would be a broken/stuck injector.

Wow that would make me a little nervous if I had a 6.4. Obviously the truck was not running right or it wouldn't have been knocking so bad. It almost sounded like a sub machine gun. I think this problem is very limited and only a few have had this problem but for those of you that have had this issue I feel for you....
