That video just isn't true...or interested in reporting the facts....

First of all, it said that the Ford had a standard limited slip diff...I paid $300 for mine dammit!

It slammed the Chebby for lowest power output at 315 HP... My 2007 F150 has the biggest engine they'd give me, and I have 300!

They say the Chebby has a non-selectable 4wd system...just not true! It has AWD, 4-hi, and 4-low, as well as standard 2wd! Just as selectable as ours!

You can't compare a Ram Mega Cab with any of the other trucks because it is NOT A HALF TON TRUCK....falls into a completely different category.....

This video is nothing but BS...sorry last5oh!

Well, I picked up on a couple of the points you brought up, but nonetheless, I still liked the vid

I also thought it would stir up a little more of a debate

The pictures didn't match the vehicles, the Dodge the showed had the Cummins and was a Mega Cab, they used a V8 gas quad cab according to their info.

I'm with Crazy001, they got a lot of facts wrong. They also missed one more thing on the Chevy, the rear discs are available, it's their problem for not getting them.

Again, Crazy001 is spot on. Not even a remotely correct comparison.

Judging by that I'm still glad I bought a Ford. I knew the Dodge had the worst gas mileage. That is definitely dodges biggest short fall.

I have read C&D for years and have noticed their Chevy bias. I am getting tired of their subjective tests that say one car is better than another cause they liked how it feels over another. They constantly overlook the facts and usually side with the Chevy's.. The bottom line is the F150 is #1 with it's customers, just look at the overall sales!

Of course the Ford facts were all incorrect: the payload and towing figures were for a F150 regular cab 4x2 8' bed with the heavy payload package. They tested a SuperCrew FX4 that could tow 8600 lbs with a 1600 lb payload.
The Chevy may have 315 hp, but is way down on torque compared to the Ford, so the "more power" claim is dependent on what power rating you are referencing.
I have been a C&D reader for years, but they don't know sh@$ about trucks, never have. They test them like they are cars, that's why the Nissan placed so high. They liked the fact that the rear end could get sideways easily because it's fun. I think most truck users would like it to stay planted where it should be. Also, they slammed the F150 because of its small bed (5.5'). Maybe they should have tested one with a bed the same length as everyone else's (except Nissan), 6.5'. And they didn't like the handling because of understeer. Maybe they shouldn't have tested an FX4 with BFG Rugged Trails, and instead tried a Lariat with more street-oriented 18s or 20s (the Chevy had 20s with street tires). They do this type of thing all the time. No one would cross-shop the trucks they tested, to dissimilar. C&D should leave the truck testing to people who don't hate all things truck.
The video was just as stupid, however.

Um...not true.

Power is measured in Watts, Kilowatts, and Horsepower.

Torque is measured in ft-lbs and newton-meters.

Well, the way I figure, if he was trying to be funny, it didn't work.

If he was serious, he obvously has no idea what he's talking about and probably should be ignored.

Does it really matter who has the thickest frame or the beefiest suspension? How many people who actually buy these things are going to use them to their capacity?!?! Road construction companies and farmers. I see to many of these damn trucks drivin around town. "Tar Babies", thats what they are! Everyone wants more power and thicker components yet NOONE uses them for what they were meant for. I see these trucks at work every day, and 90% of those comin through the door don't even have a scratch in the bed. Beck, most have bed liners(tonneau covers) to PROTECT their precious beds!! Show me someone who takes their truck out in the woods and actually gets it stuck or loads it down to the max, and then we can talk. Go to any construction business out there. At least in Minnesota, all you will see is Ford, Chevy, and Dodge trucks being used to haul equipment and other loads.....
