Hastings fuel filters
Has anyone ever heard of Hastings fuel filters for the 6.0? I'm helping someone change his fuel filters this weekend and he bought a Hastings brand filter set from the local Carquest parts dealer for $85. It looks the same as the Racor set as far as I can remember. It has the water separator medium on the primary filter. I've never heard of this brand before. The box says they are made in Kearney Nebraska.

Welcome to the world of diesels.
Ya' gotta' be new to compression ignition if you're not familiar of Baldwin or Hastings, 'cause they are the "standard" of diesel filtration. Ask any OTR guy.
Other good brands are FleetGuard and Donaldson.
It's not a Fram or Napa world.
