Hey Richard,
better late than never with a post.

But to each his own.
Do what you will, I have seen several that are either lowered or slammed and they are one of a kind and real head turners, the dually you spoke of ??????? not sure I would like the look of this one or not.
It may defeat the purpose of having a truck but you could always have one coool looking lowered and your average joe truck.
I have BOTH!

Richard... I don't see anything about your truck (specs?) so I'll leave you with this...

4 up

2 down

you should be able to figure that out, right

When I had my 98 STX...

I had a 3/4 drop (3" springs with drop shocks, 2" shackles, 2" hangers and airshocks in the rear- no c-notch). I was running the stock 17" wheels with Nitto NT 450 tires (275/50r17). It rode pretty good- handled great and still maintained pretty close to stock functionality. Any lower than that and I would recommend air bags.

I have pics, have no idea how to post them....

For the 4in shackle/hanger drop, the truck will actually ride better if the overload spring is removed. Will also give an additional 1/2 to 3/4 in drop!

diggin this back up from the grave... I was wondering Deputy Dawg, did you ever haul much w/ it lowered? I'll be hauling my quad a lot in the bed.... Will I be riding on the bump stops w/ the Belltech 3/4 drop w/ nitro shocks??? I'm just wondering if I'll ever bottom out.
