IF that's it, then I don't think the low fluid would of caused this?
I've drove mine alittle low before(about 1-2 quarts), and I've never had and issue.
If it sounds like its coming from the torque converter it could be the Stator inside the converter which re-directs the fluid to give you the torque multiplication. Or it could tbe the turbine inside also. Umm I wouldnt know what else to say, maybe it could be the pump itself possibly.You are just gona have to do some R & R.
is it a common thing for soming inside the converter to go out? are there bearings or anything in there, or is it all floating? it sat on a shelf uncovered (forgot about it) while the motor was out, possibly got some junk in it?
