Front end noise

When turning sharp from a stop going forward and reverse I here a popping/clicking noise coming from the driver's front tire. I grabbed the tire and tried moving it back and forth with all my strength and heard/felt the clicking noise a couple times. I checked the torque on the lug nuts and they were fine. It's under an extended bumper-to-bumper warranty so i'm not too worried about it but it would be nice to have a good idea what's causing it when I take it to the dealer this week. I'm thinking maybe CV/axle shaft is bad. it has 73000 miles on it. Thanks

I just read your post; I am having the same problem with my 04. I have had it at the dealer four times now and they still have not fixed it. It is still under factory warranty so it has not cost me anything, but sure is annoying. Any information about what you found with yours would be much appreciated.

On mine the problem was some loose bolts. There's three bolts that attach the cv shaft to the hub assy and steering knuckle. Two of them were loose to where you could spin the washers with your finger tips. I re-torqued all three bolts (15mm) and it fixed it. I had decided to do it myself because it didn't take but maybe 20 minutes. I figure if I would have taken it to the dealer it would have taken them awhile to figure it out. Some dealers/mechanics tend not to look for the simple things. Your problem could also be a bad cv shaft.
