Too far out to tell. Probably something simple - 5.0 with an automatic. I want to be able to drive it without stopping at every gas station.

Ought to be able to get a lot better than 20mph with a 5.0! Should at least be able to get 70mph, and something like 18-22 mpg. Ha Ha

All in good fun.

Saw the pix yesterday she looked pretty good, you got guts man, startin from not much. Body looks good though. I was wondering on the post I sent yest. if it was the orig. color? looks like it coulda been.

No doubt the original color. Not sure what it is, light blue or turquoise. (I'm sure someone will tell me.) Either way, that is probably what color it will end up because the wife saw it for the first time last night and fell in love with it - both the truck and color.

I will have a lot of help from a friend so I'm not going at this alone. That is helping me take on the challenge!

Hey man, a good body will save you a TON of sweat, blood, and tears. The body was probably the most time consuming, labor intensive part of my truck's build. Mechanical stuff like motor, brakes, tranny, etc. is a lot of wrench and ratchet, as opposed to weld and grind, and hammer, and bend, and smooth, and shrink, and fill, and...well...I think that gets the point across.

Again, good luck, and keep us up to date!
