we've got a 49 flathead sitting in the storage shop. It's m uncles spare for when he gets his roadster going. My grandpa just procured a ?9N? (pretty sure its a 9) and we've all been whispering in his ear that a Funk conversion is a nescessity

9N (39-47) has a brake and clutch on the left and a brake on the right. Distributor is up front between the block and the radiator. Rear wheels have a large flat area around the center hub.
8N (47-52) has both brake pedals on the right. Distributor is on a stalk off the side of the engine. Rear wheels have a cone shaped center hub area.

I keep trying to talk my dad out of his 8N for a Funk conv. One of these days........
