Ferguson65..got yer message!

Well now Ferguson65 I got yer p.m. (?) I think that's what ya'll call that. The topic was the missing letter on the back of my 86 Lariot..the "D" in FORD. Sir...I ain't figgered out how to use all the stuff we have on this website and cain't figger out how to answer you just yet so I'm doin' it here. Forgive my ignorance and bear with me. Now my 86 has just a thin/narrow red plastic strip going side to side on the tailgate. The chrome lettering is inset into this. I've seen some trucks about this year that have a real wide/tall strip of plastic and little letters. Mebbe what I need to do is take a digital photo of what I need and send it your way..eh? When time permits send me off an e-mail at oldfart1956@comcast.net and we'll try and figger this out. If the part is correct I'd sure like to have it and no need to ship the whole trim-strip. I'd pay the price just fer the "D"!!! Now my "D" is about 3 7/8in. wide and 1 7/8in high. Does that seem about correct? Well, e-mail me and we'll swap snail-mail address er' phone numbers. Many thanks my friend! YMHS...Audie..the oldfart!

Now that I have your e mail, I'll send a pic or two to you. I'd really like to get rid of the whole thing, since it's going to be hard to get rid of with a "D" missing! I'm clearing stuff out and just want the whole thing to go.

Audie,
I sent some pics of it over to your e mail. I held a tape to the "D" and took pictures of it so you can see the size. It appears to be correct for what you need. Let me know.
