56 F100 seating
I don't know about you, but there is nothing comfortable about the stock seat in my truck.
Let's hear some ideas based on experience of what is the most comfortable seating for the 56 F100.
The seat to back angle isn't good and the seat itself is too hard. There's not a lot of cab/leg room for much of anything so let's hear, or better yet see what some of you have done, are doing, going to do...

Most people upgrade with modern seats, either a truck bench seat or buckets.
If you are on the tall side, like me, you'd be wise to get the thinnest back seats you can, so you can slide the seat back a little more.
If all else fails, do what I did and buy a panel. You can sit like an Italian with straight arms; it's almost like cheating.

PS: Option B is to get an extended cab.

I don't have a 56 but I found the original seat in my 48 the same way...too hard and not reclined enough. It's probably too narrow for your 56 but I used a 90 Ranger bench seat and made some brackets to bolt it to the original seat frame. However, it was still too erect so I cut about 2.5 to 3 inches off the rear legs of the seat frame to tilt it back. That accomplished two things. It was more comfortable due to the more reclined position and also increased leg room. I'm 6'2" so the leg room is important. I have read that late Chevy pickup seats work well in a 53-56.
