TC lockup mod questions

Hey guys, first off does anyone have or know where i can find a set of directions to do this mod? i found this one http://www.guzzle.rbmicro.com/tclock.html but I like to look at a few and compare notes. Secondly, which wire from the PCM controlls the T/C?
thanks alot guys!

I remember a couple of months ago RÖENTGEEP was talking with someone about ways to do this mod. Do a search with post by him and look.

You simply ground the purple with yellow stripe wire to lock the TC when you want. Cut the wire and there is no TC lockup, leave alone-acts as normal, and ground the circuit-Manual Lockp. I have yet to do this mod but I will soon.

Jboard is correct just hook a wire to the purple and yellow wire. Then just hook it to a switch. All it takes is a ground for the TC to lock. Dont flip your switch to lock it under 25mph though, it can cause the truck to stall, and defanitly do flip the switch sitting still or at a stop light, this is about like dumoing the clutch on a standard. I havent found too much use for the mod though, but if making a exhaust brake out of the EBPV then the TC mod is a must and works good.

No the od light should never blink, if it does you have a problem or got the wrong wire.

Hey thanks for the help guys! today i climbed under the truck and found the purple wire w/ yellow tracer and spliced into it and ran it into the cab. I have a spare toggle switch in the cab with (power, load and ground) so i connectedted the (Power) to a ground and connected the wire i tapped to the (load) and left the ground empty. Flip the switch and t/c locks up. Works great. again appreciate the help.

Robb

EDIT: as a note, the od OFF light doesn't blink as a result of this mod.

I just spliced into it and ran the wire up to a toggle. To find the wire, crawl under your truck and look under the driver side frame rail. There should be 2 sets of wires wrapped in that plastic insulation stuff. 1 set runs back further in the truck, and one runs to the rear of the trans. Find the one that goes to the trans and carefully start picking through to find the purple wire w/ yellow tracer. (to me it looked brownish/purple) hope this helps! good luck!

It will still do it on its own thats why you just splice into it.
