Badges

Mine started peeling at 6 months, less than 4000 miles. The dealer replaced them free of charge. Now if they'd get rid of the sucker marks on the rear glass I'd be happier.

nope, that's a version of the S10 that'll go longer than 50,000 miles without leaking oil

One would think the base warranty should cover it, that is not a maintenance item or a common wear item! It should be classiifed as a factory defect.

peeling badges

I've been debating whether to acetone my F350 badges or have the dealer replace them. They all started peeling when the truck was less than a year old. My warranty is going to run out later this year, so I figure I'll try to have them replaced under that and if they are just as poor quality, I'll probably end up acetoning them.

I had my rear badge replaced under warranty. No questions asked.

Mine is a little bit different issue. From the factory I have XLT badge on driver side and Lariat badge on passenger side. Dealer offered to "fix" it but I think it is kind of neat .... I got people confused that wether it is a XLT or not?

Does anyone have any pictures of their badge peeling? I have a large lifted area but I think it was caused by a rock and water got in. I don't think it would be covered, but just want to see what everyone is talking about.

I just had the badges on my 05 replaced under warranty. I don't have any pictures, the black lettering on mine just started flaking off. I suspect it started when I took it through an automatic car wash that used high pressure spray. From now on, hand wash only for my truck.

peeling here also. if you look at the area the paint was covering, it is smooth. I don't think they prep the lettering properly before paint.

I'm going to acetone mine and paint them Burnt Orange (U of Texas colors). I just can't find the right color of Orange
