I have a Leer cap I picked up cheap, and I'm trying to wire up the 3rd brake light on the back. I've searched w/ little useful results on whether a wire's already back by the rear bumper to tap into. Anyone know of a wire available, or do I need to run a wire from the cab back?

Look real hard at the wiring harness at rear end, just inside the frame rail (on my 2000 screw it's on the left, located near the trailer plug connection to the harness). You'll find a green wire, labled "high mount brake light" or similar.

 

Found it! Thanks! It was there as you described, right in front of my face. I don't know how I missed it yesterday.
