I priced out an F450 King Ranch yesterday. I think I listed all options except sunroof and rear entertainment center. Dealer said he would price it at $500.00 over Dealer invoice which is 55,866.00. MSRP is 60,990.00.

I listed an extra heavy duty alternator but don't know if the dual alternator would be better. I plan to have a 16.5 winch on front. Also I listed 4.30 rear end.

Any comments on those two choices? That 4.88 seems too low for much freeway driving. I am also considering a gearmore overdrive which may make the 4.88 a better choice.

Any comments or recommendations?

 

sounds like you're getting a good price. Seems like you would want to go with the dual alt. if you are going to be using the winch a lot. I guess it all depends on the amp draw.. I Have an 05 F450 with the 430 rear end and I nhall a 30" Mac-lander dually behind it all the time and have no problem.

 

How'd you get the Leather Seats thrown in? The Brochure shows them as an option on the Lariat?

Also, what are the $48.60 "US Gal Gas" & $154 "Electronic SOF" charges for?

Is the Tow Command system worth the extra $500? How does it compare to the BrakeSmart, or Jordan?

 

The tow command/brake contoller on the Ford is the best in the industry. Every magazine says so and the people who tow agree. Leather seats are standard with the Lariat...the option is the King Ranch leather...different leather.

I'd go with the 4.30 rear if I wasn't towing a lot. The 4.88's in mine have the engine and rpm's singing at 70mph...might get better mileage with the 4.30's as well.
