WOW! I put a post on here about the rubber door moldings being cracked and turning green. Someone told me that there was a plastic film covering these on delivery and some dealers never removed and they melted causing the cracking and fading. The recommendation was to use acetone to remove the green but I'm still left with the cracking. My truck looks good aside from this obvious stand out. I called the local ford and they want $120 for each front door, $118 on each rear door and $300 to install. Now that's $776 dollars to change rubber trim on a vehicle with 70k on it! I love my truck but these service fees for nick nacks is killing me. Does anyone know about a lower cost option to replace these?
