If your truck has more then 36,000 miles but less then 100,000 miles, YES. Or if you are not the Original Owner!! and less then 100,000 miles.

Thanks...just wanted to double check. I have never heard of a manufacturer charging a deductable for warranty issues.

yes after the 3/36,000 and under 100k there is a $100 deductable. the turbo costs $1400 just to let you know. we do them often, the cause is most 6.0L drivers let them idle and too much local traffic then the VGT and Unicen ring gets cocked up.. drive it up to temp more often and try to get some highway miles on and vary your RPM's.. I just got and 03 w/ 110K and the turbo was never off because it was driven for long periods of time.. drive it like a Semi and there will be little problems w/ the 6.0L... 6.4L will have some new sensors and heaters to controll these things. also I am wondering if the Ultral low sulfur fuel will help out the coking any.. time will tell..

I always let my truck idle for at least a minute before driving away...I like to make sure the oil is everywhere in my engine before driving away...am I wrong?

I never would have bought the truck with only a 36K mile warranty...I have never heard of a deductible on a factory warranty. They should just warranty it or not. I'm not happy.

no, I am refering to the ones that let their truck idle all day long.. and do alot of short trips and shut it off. a diesle needs to rund at temp, not on and off. it is not good for them..

In Mid 2006 Ford upgraded their warranty a bit, basically extending the drivetrain portion of their 3/36 warranty to 5/60. As far as I know, the 3/36 bumper-to-bumper warranty has been the basic warranty for a long time.

The 100,000 mile engine warranty covers specific engine parts beyond the 3/36 warranty (or for me, the 5/60), for a $100 deductible.

My salesman made a point of explaining the warranty to me when I was signing the papers. I did learn that the 5/60 extension was only for the drivetrain, not the entire vehicle. I had thought I knew everything better than the salesman

Are you trying to say the salesman told you that a F250 or F350 had a bumper to bumper 5/100K warranty???
They are all 3/36K, 5/100K on diesel. You could have purchased a Ford ESP warranty when the truck was new, but that is only to pick up where the 3/36K left off on the rest of the truck, you still would have the diesel $100 per repair visit co-payment.. aftermarket warranties have co-payments too. and so do other manufactors. $100 is much less than the $1400 turbo, nevermind the labor for diag and installing the turbo..

tell you what mine has 112K and i need a turbo, set me up w/ your VIN# so I can warranty one for mine and I will gladly pay the $100 for it... I will even pay you for it!!! Just Kidding man.
I own a home and it has no warranty.. brand new homes have no warranty...we should be mad about that!!!

Just to let you know, I work for a dealer and since you have aftemarket parts on your truck I would not make too big of a stink at the dealer. because if they had the for rep look at you truck for any type of assistance they can and will void your complete warranty all together. you will be paying the whole bill of around $1700 for the turbo job... this will be stated when any dealer works on your truck not just the one dealer you are brining it to this time... just FYI.. good luck.

yep! tread lightly, unless they are the ones who installed the aftermarket parts.

No...3/36 bumper to bumper
5/100 powertrian. I'm not happy having a deductible on a manufacturer's warranty. I have NEVER heard of that.

I don't know who your homebuilder is. But in California, all homebuilders give a 1 year warranty minimum. 2 years on some trades, and 10 years for roofs and structural. I am an electrical contractor and we warranty our homes for 1 year minimum.
