Sorry it took me so long to respond to your question. I had my steering wheel done by B&I - I went with matte carbon fiber to match my other carbon fiber accents, but they have wood and metal and all kinds of cool material you can use. Here's a link:

Wood Dash Kits, Molded Dash Kits, Wood Steering Wheels, Chrome Rocker Panels and more by B&I the page is kind of a mess, you can also order on CarID at Ford Excursion Steering Wheels | Custom, Wood, Leather ? CARiD.com You might get a better idea of the available accents on CarID.

The quality is really nice and very clean. They do a great job and they even add grips at 10 and 2 which feel and look stock. The steering wheel is one of my favorite upgrades b/c the stock steering wheel deteriorates faster than Bill Cosby's reputation, it matches my other carbon fiber accents, matches the exterior color of my car and looks stock while adding a bit of pizzazz to the cabin.

If you get a new steering wheel, be sure to post here so we can see.

Happy stomping!

That’s no joke about it being an addiction. I’ve barely had the tires/wheels on for a week and I’m already having lustful feelings for the next item (bumpers) on my list!
Your Ex looks great Okie! I'm considering a BDS 4" all spring lift and read their note about possible driveline vibration. Did you experience this or do anything to remedy?

fordrookie, after installing the 6" kit, I initially did get some very slight "resonance" at about 75-80mph. However, it turned out my ujoints were going out so I replaced them and that cured it. I have had absolutely no other issues. IIRC you said your Ex is all stock so based on my experience, I wouldn't expect you to have any serious driveline issues with the 4" BDS kit.

Thanks for the info! If you don't mind me asking, which shocks and stabilizer did you go with?

I opted for 4 standard BDS shocks(5500 series) for the suspension. Dual steering stabilizer with the BDS shocks as well. I haven't really punished them much yet but happy so far.

i really like the look of the six inch lift. i would greatly appreciate it and would still like to see a picture of one with an 8 inch or ten inch lift with 38's or 40's and someone standing next to it. thanks
