Duraspark conversion - Distributer cap woes

Hello all...

I'm in process of my duraspark conversion...

I followed the instructions to the tee for the conversion. I bought the distributer at Schucks (302691) for a 79 pinto. It's the same exact part listed at Napa (48-2691).

No one can seem to find the correct cap and rotor for this disty... I'm about to pull my hair out!!

I would use my original cap from my 85 broncoII but it seems it needs to be smaller. The threaded holes for the cap screws are about 1/2" off from where they need to be.

Any clues?

I think I found what I needed.. I did a bit more research, and you need the cap adapter ring. It converts it from the standard cap, to the half height one.

Thanks for your help!
