P1111 Code

Good afternoon everyone. I have, I hope is an easy question. I had my glow plugs recently changed, while this was getting done I was told I had a code telling the mechanic that my IDM was bad or going bad. I didn't change it at the time and I drove it for a while. Today I decided that I should take care of this IDM problem. I hooked up my programmer to get the code and the code is P1111. I looked the code up on Steve Baz website and it says N/A System pass No PCM system faults detected N/A. This doesn't seem to be a bad PCM, I think. An explanation on the code P1111 would be appreciated. Thanks for all the help.

p1111 is system pass code. it means there are no coded problems recorded in the computer. also your mechanic doesn't really sound like he knows what he is talking about. if you had an idm problem you would either have one injector/ a whole bank or the entire engine not running. sometimes an intermittant problems but if your truck is running fine then your IDM has no issues.

Thanks tjbeggs. Just to beat a dead horse, I don't have any problems according to my programmer? To be fair to my mechanic, he said he had a code that lead him to the IDM. My truck does crank a bit before starting, but it seems to run fine. I haven't had the IDM code come up when I check it. How would I know if an injector is not running?

correct no problems according to your code reader. if you had an injector not firing you would have a miss and low power. its possible you had an intermittent code there that states its an IDM code but it can also be caused by wiring issues to and inside the valve covers to the injectors. If its running good and not throwing codes I wouldn't worry about it!
