Ford parts deals !!!!
Hey all,
I've found a Ford parts guy who wants to increase parts volume at the dealership. His deals are way below MSRP. Give him a shout if you have any needs.
Millinnium Ford
Parts Manager Ed Olson (parts@y2kford.com) or call:
Local 206-431-7333
Toll Free 1-800-562-5250
Our Parts Department is located at:
14600 Ambaum Blvd SW, Burien, Washington 98166
Ed is a good guy with great prices. About half of what my local dealer was.
Good luck,
250HUV

Discounts are given subject to the customers additude...some ppl like to BS the help, by saying they're friends of the owner, or other crappola...it usually doesn't work.
We used to have a code among ourselves at a couple places I worked.
Wrong additude got this: 17080

Long before it was called Millinium Ford it used to be called Burien Ford. My Father's Uncle Maynard was a salesperson there for a long time. It's probably changed owners and locations since then.

There was a time...a long...long time ago when dealers went strictly by the book. That was in the days when counter tickets were written in front of y'all, no computers or hand held adding machines. Everything was figured in ones head. You got pretty good at figuring 30%...multiply by 7.
Anyway I worked at Stockton Quincy Ford in Westwood, a long standing dealer. 'Course Quincy was dead by the time I worked there.
We had one do-it-your-selfer that we'd see about once a week, usually for standard parts...thats hardware to y'all. And every time we'd write up that ticket, the guy would remind us, that he was a personal friend of Mr. Stockton.
Uh huh...right...there was no "Mr. Stockton." There was a deceased Mr. Stockton Quincy, however...that's right, 'Stockton' was his first name.
He got the 17080 treatment everytime...in spades!
This says it all.
I work behind the counter, in a Ford Parts dealers store.
Sometimes I'm called a genius, sometimes I'm called much more.
I'm supposed to know the numbers, of nuts and bolts and gears....
For every truck that was ever made, for more than 60 years.
But life would be much easier, and I'd grin from ear to ear...
If the customer would only know, the make model and year.
And ifin you don't know, and cop an additude when we try and get the right info...expect to see Mr. 17080.

We're supposed to give everything away, the customer still thinks he's getting ripped, and we can barely pay the bills.
What I have a problem with is that dealer 1 has a part for sale that is more than the same exact part at dealer 2. Then dealer 3 has the part for more, but can sell it at the dealer 2 cost. This is especially true if all 3 dealers are local. Regional issues do occur and I am well aware of those.
If all the pricing is the same for a walk-in, then all the dealers can sell the same part for the same price and make a sale, because the customer does not need to "haggle" for everything they get. Plus...internet purchase should be less...which is usually the case. Buying a vehicle…well that is a whole other subject!
OBTW: Liked the poem!

It was getting to where customers were going to another site to buy parts after I did the leg work, because of a confusion between the two of us. So if customers get confused now about dealing with y2kfordparts then it's my fault.
