Just thought I would mention that we weigh more than 1000lbs more than you do!!!!!!!! You got a fast truck though. My dad has a 96 also and just FYI I love his truck too. They are no where near as refined as a new one and there is not as much room inside. Other than that they are great trucks... the 06 and 07 will be great motors and will hold their value over time...........

You know at times I think they are actually jelous that our motors come with enough *** from the factory to blow the head gaskets or intercooler. They have mod the crap out of it to get anywhere near that. Thats another story though.
Ryan, truck listed in sig is on its original tranny, and I replaced 1 CPS at 80k, and have had no issues with my turbo(even though I ran a K&N drop in for the first 100K)
Now, no, it is not built to race, It is a work truck, it sees around 30-35k a year as a daily driver, and spent 6 months in Louisiana haulin campers for FEMA, up to 4 trips per day back and forth from Baton Rouge to New Orleans. While in cajun country I saw alot of different diesels working day in and day out, the early 03-04 6.0, spent the most time on the side of the road with problems, the 05 and 06 trucks seemed to hold up, but still had their issues, I will not exclude the 7.3's I saw a few that had their problems too, but I did not.
I guess what I am saying is don't make such a broad statement, not all 4R100's die at 100k, and not all 7.3's eat CPS's.

Here we go again. Standard response from a 7.3 owner. Don't feel bad, I know, most, not all 7.3 guys are really insecure about their trucks, especially when someone with a 6.0 talks about the numerous short commings of the trucks offered with the 7.3.

6.0 bashing season ended in December with the upcomming release of the 6.4, which uses most of its designs from the 6.0, NOT 7.3.

there is enough 6.0 and 7.3 bashing in your own forum to keep you guys in place guess I can leave for a while.....

In all seriousness, you guys are on the same team, grow up.

BTW yes, a locker and more fuel pressure can shave a .5 off the clock in a 1/4.
