Predictions for /07 Super Duty

I'm still on the fence...Wait for /07 or buy now. A few $$$ saved on an /06 is not a factor as I'll be keeping this truck for 10 plus years.

Any predictions or inside scoop on extent of changes.... exterior (cosmetic), interior, engine, frame etc.. or is the /07 a very closely guarded secret ?

If the 07 has the new diesel in it ,I wouldn't buy it the 1st year. Ford doesn't have a real good track record on diesels the 1st year of introduction.

Will not be going diesel (V-10). Is the new diesel the biggest change or is it a whole new look...new truck from the ground up like the new F-150 ?

I keep hearing it is a new look, a new interior.. I think I am going to wait, I understand the 2006 model is going to be a short run and the 2007 will be out early to mid summer next year.. I also will be going with the V10

I would think the the new diesel with the twin turbo would get better mpg than the 6.0. Could be perfect timing with the high diesel prices.

I think that GM's hybrid truck will be a flop.

cfd29, I read on this forum they will be avail to order Jan./06.

I'm kinda surprised there isn't any solid info about release dates and what to expect. I'm a member of a few Toyota forums because of my T100 and they seem to have pretty good info on the /07 Tundra.

They have good info because Toyota is leaking it, the same way GM is leaking some GMT900 info then pretending to get mad about the advance info getting out. They enjoy, and in GM's case, need the "buzz".
The SuperDuty has been and is the "best in class" heavy duty truck. There's no need to create "buzz" to sustain sales. We've done some prelim work on some of the '07 interior but haven't been able to get a glimpse of the complete module.

I hope there is something solid soon, I have been about to go crazy waiting to see what they are going to look like and what will be available. I hope they have the overhead rail thing like the F-150's , But I am sure the interior will be quite nice...

I really hope that there will be an option for a full center console, even with a manual tranny. It will never happen, but they should drop the automatic, and offer hot pink as a color choice

If your going for the V10, a great proven motor, I think I would wait for the 07s. If for some reason you don't like them ( I predict the 07s will be awesome) there will be some good deals on left over 06s.

I too am on the fence. I was ready to pull the trigger on an '06 with V10 until I saw on this forum that the '07 was redesigned. I hate to procrastinate, especially since I have a buyer waiting for my F150, but I believe there will be deep discounts and rebates on the '06 in a few months, especially if gasoline prices keep going out the stratosphere. There might even be a push to unload '07s if gas prices affect sales.
