I think I have heard of DB Electric being a good source for starters. Let us know how it turns out.

i just installed the starter, cause this morning my truck just turn once and died,
my first impression, is that BD Electric dont tell you that you cable ends have diferent angle than on this starter, so i had to bent them, and this thing was just pain in the ass , another thing the wire from the ignition switch had a bolt holding it on a stock starter, but on this "Better" starter was a philips screwwhat a BIT#@%@$^#

once i compare them side by side i said DANG its not going to FIT!!!!!!!! but it did and its a tight squeze you can squeze match there thats it,
once all was hooked up i cranked the truck and WHOAAAAAAA
this thing turns like 4 cyl RICEBURNER
now i found out why my starter went bad, one of the bolts that holds starter together was snaped,
and to all , its a GOOD idea to disconnect the batteries, you going to make SHORT for sure
5 being the best

so overall its a 3.5 out of 5 rating, for installation ease
and its a 5 out of 5 for performance

Peter

Cool Pete
I know of several other guys who have used this starter with the same results as you.
I need one, should help out on those cold starts.

Everybody says it just manhandles the engine and slings it over like no tomorrow.

Wow! I just looked at his feedback. Virtually no one with that many sales has a 100 percent positive feedback, no matter what kind of merchandise they're selling there. He must be doing something right. Even UPS will cause SOME folks to leave neg's about the sellers.

I was just telling my friend that. 16700+ sales and 100% feedback??? My God they're doing something right.

That link I gave is not the same one as Pete bought. Looks like there isn't one like his listed at the time.

Remember that if you want the high torque one, it's the 4K volts one. The other is like 3 I think

Did the "two mountings bolts versus three" give you any concern?

Did you torque those mounting bolts up "real tight" with some Locktite, too?
