1957-60 Floor pans
YES YES YES you have helped someone.
I have been unable to find cab braces anywhere for my 60. The floor pans were replaced with sheet metal and the braces rusted out. They propped the cab up with blocks of wood which is less than ideal. I thought I was going to have to go to a body shop and have them custom made so I can get the cab back up the proper angle so the doors would stop scraping at the top.
Now all I need is the money. *Sigh*

Maybe you can clarify for me what I BELIEVE it is that I need.
There seems to be an arm that comes off the frame to support the front of the cab and there should be a set of rubber/steel busings to cushion and adjust the height between that arm and the floor of the cab right?
I dont know what the rear mounts look like, I have been more concerned with keeping the truck running.
Right now I see evidence of a rusted and squashed arm on the front. The floor pan was fixed with sheet metal and they set the cab on wood blocks to hold it up ALMOST where it needs to be.
Obviously this is something I want to eventually fix.
The cab corners I assume are just the rounded sheet metal corners that tend to get rusted?
I want to make sure I know what the actual terms are for the parts so I do not end up ordering the wrong parts or sound like an idiot when I do.
If I can get all the parts I need which it looks like I can thanks to you, all I will need is a little more practice with my welder and some time to work.
Thanks again for the info. None of the catalogs I had listed mounts for the 57-60 models, only the bushing kits and cab corners.

niteowl, When you say " arm", are you refering to the bracket that is riveted to the side of the frame, and located directly above the shackle for the rear of your front leaf spring? If so, those parts are listed in my Ford part manual as follows:
Bracket - Body to frame - Right hand, B7C-5077-A
- Left hand, B7C-5078-A
I think the cab braces that they sell are the crossmember type pieces (looks like u-channel) that get welded to the floor panel, and mount to those brackets. They have them listed as 16 ga. steel, which would be the thickness of sheetmetal. I'll keep my eyes open for bushings for you. If those brackets are what you are looking for, give http://www.gillys.com a try
