if i was to install a aluminum fuel filter cap that is tapped for a guage, would that be a good place to get a fuel pressure reading? can i use a regular air/water 0-60psi guage for fuel pressure readings ? will it make a difference fuel pressure reading where i put the guage , on the fuel filter cap on top of the motor or fuel filter cap on the frame rail?

SW, I guess you have to give them a call to get one from OilGuard, They have them listed on Amsoil web site for $126.70 plus shipping though. Part # there is BK1101. Ebay cap is $80 and ships free. I bought their fuel cap and Quality looks good but have not installed it yet. I'm waiting till my next filter change.

ok i will call oil guard and see what they say, and i might get the one off of ebay since its $45 cheaper, does anyone know where i can get both aluminum fuel filter caps? and is the fuel filter cap a good location to get a fuel pressure reading? do i need a 0-30psi or a 0-60psi guage? does it have to be a special fuel gauge or just oil resistant gauge?

IMO I would take pressure from the side of the bowl where the regulator spring is...my buddy bought a kit for his that allowed him to adapt it out to a 1/8 npt shrader type valve which from there any fuel pressure guage will read. if it was me i would remove this plug drive down to your local hydraulic fitting store or home depot and adapt it out. then run your guage from there. cost maybe 5 bucks and the whole set up with a autometer guage will cost you about the same as what you were gonna pay for a fancy cap. as for oil pressure you should get a good reading from the cap i would drill a hole and tap it for a fitting...and keep my stock cap. On my 04 the way i set up my boost guage was remove the old IC pipe drill a hole and insert the fitting...that way ford doesnt get excited when they see all this nice shinny stuff.
