CONGRATS!! Are you the first FTEer to reach 1/2 mil? Good Dart!

its hard to say. depends on where you are at. now is the time though, people are getting their refunds and looking for something to spend it on. I would imagine 8-12k depending.

unfortunately with the mileage the general public will be scared speechless to buy it. When I sold my 95 with 200K the people just disappeared when I told the mileage. So first you have a much smaller sales base and lets face it 500K is close to the useful life of a powerstroke. I would venture a guess closer to $5,000.

If I were a buyer, I wouldn't touch it unless it was really cheap. That is a LOT of miles and it will likely have to be repowered in the not so distant future and that is not inexpensive in the least. If you offer it at a fair price it will probably sell. One thing for sure, it looks like you got your money out of it already.

why sell it? it's probably better just to keep it till it dies. It's already lost all of the value it's gonna lose, running or not.

Yeah, i have to agree since i noticed you are in arizona. If you must sell, I would strip out stuff like the fuel tank and other things you can sell and get some good money for.

I have seen trucks with very high mileage sell for more than you could imagine here in Texas. So figure a truck with 200k in great condition sell for ~16k, double the mileage cuts the price in 1/2. Then with what you have on it is what I based the price on.

Maybe you should bring it to TX to sell, otherwise just keep her. To drag up an old thread:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/2...-worth-it.html

That truck ended up going for 15.5

Blew my mind.

I think he may be First FTEer. Many have claimed that their company’s/Friend’s truck had XYZ miles but nothing from the actual owner. <O

No way, I think if you look down in the '94-'97 forum there's several guys with OBS pickups over 500,000, and I think barebackjake had one over 600,000.

My homepage is set to open up in this forum. I also rarely go to any other one.

I personally would not buy anything at all with that miles. I would just keep it, i doubt you are going to get more than $5000-7500 out of it. A rolling chassis is worth more than that. If you could find a good powerstroke engine ,drop it in it with less miles, and if the rest of the truck is still good, then someone might consider it.
