Hey, new to the site and just wanted to say hi to everyone! Also have a question? I just got my first diesel 04 F-350 45,000 mi. and am getting ready to do my first oil change on it. Have always ran Amsoil in my gasoline trucks prior to getting this diesel. I have read numerous posts on here and keep reading about the CJ-4 oil that just came out and that it looks pretty good. So I have decided to stick with Amsoil because I just seen they came out with a CJ-4 rated oil. My question is, has anyone ran this new oil yet? If so whats your opinion on it?

Could not have picked a worse topic for a first post. This thread shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes to get locked.
Amsoil 5W-40 is NOT API Certified. Amsoil ONLY MAKES ONE API Certified Diesel oil and it is the 15W-40 Semi synthetic it is CI-4 rated.

I agree, the original post has been answered, Amsoil does not make a CJ-4 API certified diesel oil, period!!

 

Let's just say it SUCK's . . . No cert for sure . . .

 

Been busy today. This one got away.

But....I have returned.
