How many leafs (springs) are in the front of your truck?

no wonder my truck sits level.....Ive got 3, and whoever put the 3rd ones in must have done it one hell of a long time ago too. Mine are nowhere near the back bend (negative arch) stage. Heres a pic, those are 285/75s
As far as the ride is concerned, the stock 2 leaf packs must ride like crap too then.

I just got to thinking........I have heard the TTB springs are thicker in the middle and taper down to the end. Mine do that. Maybe someone put some F250 lift springs in my F350.....can anyone with a stock 2 leaf pack F350 get a picture like the one I posted? Maybe a little closer. Im curious now, I figured they were all like mine lol.

So the F350 ones have no taper noticeable at all? Im starting to wonder about my truck. Its a crew cab, XL....Ive got front and rear 40/20/40 air lumbar seats. Im not sure what kind of options cere standard in the XL models, but I'll start a new thread for that.
Im really curious as to why I have tapered 3-leaf packs up front tho.
....and to keep this post on topic, every F250 I have seen with stock springs, has a negative arch pack up front where they are doing the back bend.

im looking at the add a leaf from tuff country suspension. i see 1.5 and 2.5 inch leveling. will the 1.5 level the truck out nice, its under $100 while the 2.5 is almost $400 so im leaning towards the 1.5. the the add a leaf stiffen up the suspension also, i would like this to stiffen up the front end because i hate the front end sag i have on mine while plowing.

I mean death wobble, the most horibble thing ever. If I hit a big enough bump with only one side of my truck (ie drivers side tire) its as if my whole axle moves back and forwards, and left to right at the same time in rapid succession. It feels like a horrible wobble thats going to be the end of you and your truck. Hence, death wobble...its a common term

there are a LOT of things that could be wrong. anything loose up there can cause it to start and once it starts it only gets worse till you stop. first thing to try is trac bar bushings, thats usually the biggest culprit. i have also seen loose steering (including a loose pitman arm!), loose shackle buishings, bad shocks, steering out of alignment, tires out of balance, loose wheel bearings, etc cause the death wobble. check each of these things one at a time.
note: a steering damper DOES NOT FIX deathwobble it might go away with a damper but it only hides problems. a properly built and maintained steering system works perfectlty without one.
