Cool 2002 Escape NO interior or tail lights till escape warms up

My daughter has a 2002 Escape. She doesn't have interior lights or tail lights until the escape warms up. Any idea what is causing this problem? Thanks in Advance.

I agree with EBT, moisture would be the most logical culprit. I had a chevy(gag) once with the same type of problem. Moisture build up in the fuse box was the problem. Hope you find the problem.

Similar problem

About a year ago I had a similar problem while traveling thru Las Cruces, NM and stopped at a Motel used the alarm to lock the Escape with the parking lights on. A few minures later returned and the car would not start and about 8 fuses where blown. Had it towed to the local Ford dealer and rented a car. Do some other problems did not return to pick it up for about ten days. The dealer never found the cause also when I left the dealer the radio would only work with the car in park. Two days after I got home the radio started to work again. We had some rain on the trip but it was two days and 1200 miles before the problem. The Escape has been working ever since.
Good luck

my sister's escape recently had the interior lights - dash and console shut down while driving at night for brief period of time , then they came back on. We aren't sure what was causing it, and it was so intermittent it would be hard to track down. She is worried about it though.

It seems every issue we have had with our Escape has turned out to be corroded grounds. I would try to find the grounds on those circuits and maybe clean them up.
