53 F100 Door glass and fuzzies install

Anyone have much experience installing F100 window fuzzies, window track antirattle, glass etc? I just finished my drivers door. Looks real nice and no scratches in my paint by some miracle. However, I am going to need 5 horse motors for my power windows. Glass is extremely snug going up and down. Everything is brand new repro. I used a fuzzy kits manufactured by Dale's out of OKC. It appears to be a pretty well made kit. There was an issue with the clips on the horizontal fuzzies (which they promptly took care of). I have verified the glass is the right size. I suspect the tight spot is where the horizontal fuzzies meet the rear vertical window track but I really can't be certain. Fairly uniformly too tight throughout the entire window up-down range. I figure some stiffness is normal with all new stuff but not even sure of that. I guess I better head back out to the garage and screw up the passenger side now.

If you never seem to be able to solve your problem, I think I would take the original glass out and get the local glass shop to make new ones a little smaller. My local glass shop cut mine for about $25.00 each. I see at least you got your one installed. When I replaced mine, I didn't think I was ever going to get it inside the door and mounted correctly.

The glass is brand new and a bit smaller than stock. Got the problem figured out. The horizontal fuzzies look properly installed but when you stick your head in the access hole, the rear most clips are not quite in all the way. So close but not quite there yet. It is not a fun job at all. No scratched paint yet! I'll whip it.

Thanks

You also might check the runner adjustment. If I remember right you had one screw on the inside door panel, and 1 or 2 on the jam of the door by the latch. I had the same proublem when I put in my 55's power windows. What I ended up doing was loosening the scews and running the window up and down so it defined it's own path. Eventually got it working smooth.

I have left the tracks a little bit loose for now until I get the horizontal fuzzies clips right. It does help a little. BTW, thats a very nice 55 in your gallery. Got any shots of that big block?
