DIM Dash lights?

MY '86 F-150 4X4 has very dim Dash lights! (fully loaded and factory acessorised, top line model)
Battery is new, positive and ground cable are new.
All other lights are bright.
Any ideas how to fix these dim dash lights?

You tried rotating the headlight **** right? One thing you can do is to remove the blue/green bulb covers from the dash cluster. The white light is a lot brighter.

THANK YOU!
I am going to replace and clean-up the sickets as suggested.
I was away from Fords for many many years and forgot all the "little tricks"
I came by my F-150 4x4 Lariat in a deal that I couldn't say no to and I really love the big 'ol truck!
Thanks fellas!

I disassembeled my gauge cluster and pulled out the bulb filters (small blue/green plastic pieces). Now my cluster shines white and is very bright without being obnoxious.
