Parts for '48 F2/F3

I need some parts (running boards for example) that are hard to find and not available from the usual new parts sources. I'm looking for suggestions on where I can post "parts needed" messages with a good possibility of success. Also there are places that will hunt down parts for you for a fee. Anybody out there had success with any of these? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks
Ron

Try the ONLINE Store button on the upper right of your screen. They carry two types of running boards for your truck unless they are unique from F1 parts. Is that the problem you have finding parts?

You can post a "parts wanted" ad in the classifieds on this site. There's a decent chance somebody wants to get rid of some spare parts so they can get some new junk to clutter up the garage. Thats what I always do, when something goes out, some different stuff comes in.

The F2 is different from the F1 due to the longer bed. Greater distance between front and rear fenders requires longer running boards.

I can second the recommendation for Karen Miller. They have some nice used stuff, and its priced reasonable!!
I think the url for their website is www.oldfordtrucks.com
