'59 F100 exhaust manifold

Does anyone know where I might locate a reasonably priced left side exhaust manifold for a 292 Y- block in a '59 F100? I don't want to spend a great deal as the ol' 292 will be coming out in the (hopefully) near future to make room for the 351 / C6 that I have waiting for it! Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks,

Craig.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-Jul-02 AT 03:19 AM (EST)]Are you looking for the truck manifold that exhausts out the front to the crossover? The drivers side or passenger side?

Charles,

I need the actual exhaust manifold - the part that attaches to the head - it does have the exit for the crossover pipe - not sure if they all did this or not (??). I need the driver's side - badly. Mine is split open between the two center cylinder ports and the paint is burning off the matching intake runners - YIKES!!

Thanks,

Craig.

Craig,

I know where one is but it would be a month before I could get it. I believe that it is ok but until inspected I can't promise. Also the shipping would be high from Florida. These are very common and someone should have one closer to you. If not I'll help.

Charles,

Thanks for the info and the offer......the time is not really an issue as I am leaving for vacation in a week - and I will be gone about 3 weeks. I'll check around - old truck junk yards aren't real common around my area of So. Calif, but who knows what may turn up. I'll keep it in mind and thanks again!

I am not sure if it will fit but I have one from a '55 239 you can have for shipping cost. I can send both sides.

Thanks, but I too have absolutely no idea about the interchange. Is the 239 a Y-block engine? I am not even sure about the interchange between a 292 / 272/ 312.........anyone else know?

Thanks,

Hi,
272, 292, and 312 all share the same block, and are interchangeable. The 239 is a Y-block, but I don't know if it is interchangeable with the others. It seems to look the same from some pictures I've seen.

I have a drivers side crossover style manifold in decent shape from a 292 yblock under my workbench. I went to dual exhausts, so I capped the passenger side and got a downer for the driver side. It is yours for shipping.
