The radiator I have has no leaks, but beyond that I can't guarantee anything because I've never driven it on the road for any length of time. When I bought the truck, it started and ran okay. I drove it about one mile to my house and into my garage and it's been parked there ever since. The truck hasn't been on the road legally since 1984. Before I pulled the the engine, it started and idled for up to 10 minutes or so with no leaks.

We're trying to be helpful here, but you need to keep in mind that when you substitute a component for anything stock that you cross the line into the 'hotrodding' group and will find it necessary to make it up as you go.
Having a non-stock engine in your truck means you're not going to find a radiator that is made to fit without work or modifications on your part. That's just part of the fun of this hobby. Good luck.

I had this issues about a year ago. I couldn't find a good used radiator that would fit right. Turns out iI had an old Chrysler radiator in my truck. (50 F-1) This last time around I broke down and bought a brand new radiator through Vintage Ford.. They are a little pricy but well worth it.One thing to remember they don't make the radiator until you order it.
Hope this helps..

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-Oct-02 AT 05:24 AM (EST)]I just put a new radiator in my 56. I found that buying a new one cost about the same as rebuilding my old one. Try http://www.usradiator.com/ . I bought mine from http://www.vintagepartsaz.com/. It's a good radiator, fits like stock and you can get them with the ports anyway you need them. Cost $300 plus shipping.
