I am finishing up a 1953 F100. I am trying to figure out where these angle brackets go. These brackets attach to the lower rear fedner lip, and angle upwardstowards the bed. I can't figure out where they attach. Can someone explain this to me? Pictures would be extra useful.

I have the original fenders, and the bracket is there, but I cant figure out how they mount. It also looks like there is a bracket spot-welded onto the fenders that did not come on the new fenders.

Help.

 

Could someone go snap a pic of his/her truck? I need the rear inside of the fender well that shows the bracket. PLEASE!

 

It attaches to a bolt running through the top side of the bed (from the inside of the bed) , it fits right under the wood, at least this is where both of mine are attached.

They run through the bed side flanges don't they? I have those cute L shaped channels that look like bedstrips on each side of my bed so my repro brackets wouldn't work. I am going to fab some from extra hood support rods I have around.
