I have the black supercrew and tried a couple of brands and prefer the Meguires products the best. They have this 1, 2, 3, stage for the condition of the paint. Like the #1 stage for fine scratches or swirls to #3 for the high glossy look. When I was in autobody work we only delt with 3M products but they were real costly. Good luck.

Turtle Wax Ice.

Goes on easy. You can use it on paint and all of your weather stripping/plastic parts. It leaves no residue.

I switched from McGuirre's to Turtle Wax Ice. Not only is it easier to apply, it also seems to hold up better.

Zaino is the shizzle and Ice is a good polish.

Zaino isnt the every day product you see at Autozone, etc. Tutlewax ice is readily availbable at any auto parts store. It is a good polish. It is not a paint cleaner.

If you havent waxed since January...you need something to clean the paint 1st. I would even think about clay barring.

I use Ice myself, however I clean & wax often. So I like the easy on and easy off of Ice.

Hit your truck good with a paint cleaner then polish to protect & shine.

If you would like to try Ice, I suggest using a Turtle Wax paint cleaner 1st. Ice is compatable to be applied over other Turtle Wax products.

1) Clay bar
2) Hit the paint with a medium cut Poor Boy's swirl remover on a Cyclo Dual Random Orbital Buffer (if the scratches are bad, use a heavy, hard cutting pad and compound before this step)
3) Finish off with Colinite Insulator Wax.

That is the trick folks!!!

consumer reports did a test a couple months ago on waxes....durability, shine, ease of application, etc.
Black Magic Liquid Wax
scored very very high.....better then McGuires Gold Class.

I bought some Black Magic liquid wax and am happy with it...

Seems lots of people use Turtle Wax Ice....how long does it last?

Maybe I'll try a bottle of that after I use up the Black Magic to compare the two.

I have heard turtle wax ice wear off in a couple weeks, Also I have tried the clay kit and think it is a waste of money, could not tell much if any difference.

Clay "kits" remove road contaminants, bird droppings, and other things such as WAX. Claying is just part of the preparation process...Has nothing to do with shine or gloss. No wonder why you didn't like it because when or if you used the clay properly, you removed all the wax off your paint or lack there of.
