Does anybody know of a company that makes disk brakes for the front of my 66, and an upgrade to power all the way around?

Justin, I do, it's Ford Motor Co. You can use disc from any 72-79 on your truck. I bought a 76 donor and put disc brakes and power steering on my 66. It all bolts up. I swapped out the I-beams rather than change out the spindles. If you go for the ps as well your donor needs to have the same engine and tranny setup as you have.

John, did you use the master cyl, power booster, and porportioning valve from the '76? Did the master cyl pedal push rod need to be shortened to mount on the 66 pedal, or did the 76 pedal with brake switch swap in?? Am thinking of doing this as my next project on my 66..Appreciate any ideas..

Jim, I used everything from the 76 except the pedal. The booster rod to the pedal had to have a new hole drilled 1 1/8" below the other to let the pedal closer to the floor. I can lift off the gas and rotate my foot to the brake with out raising it. I think I had to make an adjustment to the master cylinder, even though I don't know why it didn't work. I bought a reman MS rather than use the old one. I made a junction to the rear brakes, and have been enjoying the stop power that I now have.

I read where you have to have the same engine and tranny set up to use the power steering. QUESTION? I have a 67 390 in my 65. Arn't the 352 and 390 the same outer dimentions and just different stroke inside. I wanna do this swap. Help me out.

Thanks

Jay you left out the word family. Yes the pump, brackets, pullies, etc can be used from any FE family engine. There are more trucks with 360s and ps that with 390s. Any gear from 65-79 will work, but I believe that if you buy your donor you can get more parts for less money that running back and forth to the bone yard.

Good luck with your swap,

John,
Yep buying a donor truck would be the way to go BUT, As I have a 2 car garage with a wood shop, an 81 Suzuki 850 that I am riding/restoring, massive amounts of bikes, skateboards, scooters, ski's and other things one of the vehicles sits outside while the other stays dry and cozy, so I have no place to park one. I have a neighbor that drives a 74 F250 4 X 4 and we are going to make a run to the yard this spring. We will get everything I need cause its about 30 miles from where we live and he has been thru the OPPS i forgot thingy. Now if I read your answer right I can make the swap with the 390 thats in it.
Thanks
