No heat in the front, back heat fine
Hello-new here,
Just got 1999 Expedition given to me and immediately started having problems with the heat. Front heat works once in great while. Mostly just cold air, rear heat works fine but freezes me in the front because you have to have the front one to get the rear on. And now the fan doesn't work in the front at all. No force, no matter what setting. Changed the t stat because an easy fix. I know it has the separate blower fan in the dash. But trying to not do that if I don't have to. I saw some other post on here but they have problems with both front and back.
On another forum someone noted that they had a similar problem and it was actually the water pump. Truck doesn't get hot-runs a little cool all the time, so don't think that's it. No leaks. I know there is a separate core in the rear.
Any ideas, starting cheap since I don't have a fortune to put in this. Gonna run the truck and get it warm and feel the hoses to see if they are hot before and after the core.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Would like to not have to burn gas all the time letting it warm up only using the rears; especially as I still freeze in the front since I have to turn it on to get the back going. And my kids are on fire in the back while I'm cold.
Thanks in advance!
