My powerstroke smokes with my new chip...why?
I recently purchased a Bully Dog 6 position chip for my 2000 F-350. It has more that enough power in the low setting and the high idle feature helps with starting. I did notice, however, that when i run the truck in the vallet postion, and you put your foot down it smokes quite a bit. The smoke is mostly black, but at first it looks white. I was told it had something to do with the turbo. ANy input on this. I am just curious as to why is smokes in the vallet position.
I also did a little test involving burnouts, although just on gravel. Havnt tried pavment yet( gotta start the dually out slow ya know). It seems like you can sit there and spin your tires forever in the vallet postion, but not so much in the low, medium or high setting. Why is this?
