That's pretty sweet. Most people go with dual exhaust on these trucks, which is cool, but it's nice to see somebody be little different. I'll bet it puts out some good music.

My truck sounds pretty mean, but that's because the exhaust system looks like Swiss cheese.

That sure beats my rusted exhaust with two new glass packs that stop under the cab!

Love it! Went a similar way except 27" Thrush glass pack and single tip. My motor doesn't put out enough power to take advantage of a full dual setup (mostly stock 400). What size pipe are you running?

It is a 3in. in and two 2.5in. pipes out. It has flow for the mildly moddified 460. It would sound perfect but there is a slight leak at the collector flange and it overpowers the flowmaster when you are driving, and I am hoping a soft metal gasket will fix it.

I use double gaskets. Headers and collectors too. Run it a while and tighten up one more time. Thats it. Done.

I have seen both the soft aluminum and the soft copper, and I don't know wich one works the best. I would like to get one that will last agaist the heat and time, but will also fill in the little imperfections. I already figured that I would double them up just in case. Money isn't a real big issue I just want the best quality.

Thanks for posting. That's one of the options of what I was imagining for my truck.

I'd really like to do a dual 2.25 in/single 3 out, but I haven't found any dual in single out mufflers. Mine's a six, so I'm looking to keep it throaty but quiet with good flow. I want mine to exit in the same location as yours.

How did the price compare to the Gibson Supertruck muffler and tips? It runs around $285 for a similar look.

It was actually prety expensive since I had everything redone including the cat. From the manifolds back everything was custom made and fabricated. Everything all together; the cat, muffler, tips, tubing, and the install was about $650.00 for the entire system, but also nothing was left stock.

Here on these California trucks we got all the smog equipment that was invented within the past 100yrs. It doesn't make a difference anyway. My air pump isn't even hooked up to my heads because they are off a late 60's early 70's 460 that had no smog. I still have EGR, and Cats. I also can't find a carberator that is smog legal over 600cfm, but thats ok.
