3 speed to aod

I have a 65 f100 2wd three on the tree and a 302 engine. Want to install an aod. Is there room under that low floorboard for the aod. The engine was installed using the engine towers from a 70s truck. I am planning on using the Lokar nostalgia shifter. Need help, thanks James

Yes i have a 5.0 and a AOD in my 64 100. Works very well. I just used a ford floor shifter. But the lokar will work much better. Just get the throttle pressure right the first time. That is not a kick down is must be on and adjusted or the aod will not last long at all. Lokar makes that to.
