I removed the HOLLY 4 bbl from my motor and want to put a smaller EDLEBROCK on. But there seems to be a problem becuase the prior owner had a spacer under the carb and I think he made the bracket that hold the throttle cable longer too. Can someone measure the bracket on the intake that hold the throttle cable....and tell me how high it is....

The Edelbrock will need a spacer as well. The Edelbrock spacer is available at JEGS.com. Thet also sell a factory rebuilt Edelbrock for fewer bucks. After that the bracket for your cable should fit? You can adjust the height of the bracket using longer bolts and spacers made from small diameter pipe.
