I have 2 vehicles getting that motor. A 98 F150 with 160K on the odometer and a 93 mustang. Any advice? I'm using an explorer 4.6 3V as soon as I pick them up. Any idea if the 98 trans will work with it? Thanks man I appreciate the inspiration and the advice. BAD ***!!!!

Hallalujah, praise the Lord. I am so glad there is an alternative to the GM clips and parts. Looks good, but I liked the Mercury wires on it in the first few pictures. That is something not seen in a long time. Great job.

Nice job! As much as I love the older iron, the 4.6L is a strong screamin' motor.

Imagine how it'll look with a smooth paint job, front end, and bumpers...

wow. that truck is going to be a head turner. i have a 64 stepside that would look sweet with that setup. what years and models will work for this and how much will the stance of the truck change. wil i still be able to pro street if i decide to or is this swap more intended for cruising.thanks bentts64

That's something I've thought about (but with a 73-79 stepside), but never checked. Had NO idea the wheelbase is that close.
