torque spec. exhaust Y pipe to manifold

What's the torque spec. for exhaust Y pipes to the manifolds. I did 30 ft lb and they leak a little. My Y exhaust pipes don't come with gaskets they have flared ends. It was ok before I removed the exhaust pipes to change the oil pan.

I don't know that there is a specific tq spec...make sure they're seated correctly and tighten them down even more if you want. Or you can leave them and let them work in a little and retighten them about 100 miles later.

34 lbs for the nut is the max.

if you are at 40 and it leaks than maybe not set properly.

Make sure the pipe end is sitting on the manifold cone correctly - you may be uneven and exhaust may be sneaking past one side...don't forget to tighten the bolts evenly as you go on either side (like you would with setting a manifold gasket).

Also check for cracks or damage in the area and to the ball/socket area (the connection points).
