It really is up to you although I must say that I prefer the Lariat myself. Thanks for buying a Ford either way, you're going to love it!

The biggest difference between the two is the King Ranch leather. It has seating for 4 and distinctive King Ranch interior. If you like it better than lariat and don't need seating for 5 or 6, go for it. They are beautiful trucks. I went with the Lariat myself as I personally don't like the King ranch leather as much as the Lariat. Be sure to check out the Harley Davidson edition also. There is also Amarillo if you REALLY like yellow.

I looked at both, ordered the lariat and then changed to KR and glad that I did. Not only is the leather superior to lariat leather but there is more of it, not cloth on the sides of the arm rest like lariat. However you must be careful with the KR leather and not stain it. You will love the KR.

i have a Lariat .. but i'm getting new seat leathers - make by Katzkin .. and getting one similar to the King Ranch. I personally wouldn't have paid the extra fees for all the extras, cuz i prefer to do some things on my own.

That being said, those King Ranches ARE nice rides !

Both are great trucks. I chose the Lariat over the KR because of my seating requirements. I needed seating for 6. The KR only handles 4. Either way you can't lose.

One thing to consider if you order the KR with the rear buckets. That only lets you haul 4 people. There have been several times where I'm glad I had the rear bench and not the rear buckets.

Now if Ford made the rear buckets that would recline, I might reconsider. My kids complain about the comfort of the rear bench on long trips.

I have a Lariat but I like the KR leather. I don't like the some of the colored plastic trim on the KR exterior. Prefer my black trim and chrome steps.

I love my 06 King Ranch. No regrets at all! I have the rear bench as well and would never consider the 4 captain chairs.

You can get either the KR in 4 Capt chairs or the rear bench seat option...So it is either a 4 or 5 pass vehicle..not strictly 4...

I know, I have a 5 pass KR, and love it!
