Dodge guy out of his element
Hey I'm a new guy here and am a Mopar freek but, my Dad has a 2000 F-350 power-smoker 4x4 auto. The problem we are having is the four-wheel drive is not working. You turn the lock the hubs in and the wheel will turn freely even though the trans-case is locking properly. Any help would be great this system is differnt than my 95 Cummins ram. Please help!!!

I'll say one thing, You Got *****!! LMFAO! I love it. To answer your question, or at least give you a direction to look in, Sounds like maybe water has gotten into the hub and has corroded it or there is not enough grease to allow the locking mechinism to slide into the locked position. theres the possibility that it is not a locker (or open diff) that if you spin one wheel it will not turn the drive shaft. becuase if you have a locker in the front pumpkin that stays locked up, you would never be able to turn the thing.
