Ever heard of it?

I am enlisting shortly into the USAF. They're putting me in with 3 stripes due to how much college I have. I was thinking, "Hey, I can buy a new truck!" I was really wanting to get a S-Cab 4x4 with a 7' bed on it. Reason being, is that I would eventually want to put a toolbox in the back of it and be able to maintain some hauling capabilities. Biggest part is I want to carry around my ATV and other things of that sort. Has anyone ever heard of the S-Cab coming with a 7' bed?

Not in a ranger, have you talked to your ford dealer about it? Does such a monster exsist? That would be a new one on me if it does.

All Rangers to date with the Super Cab Cab ONLY have 6' beds from the factory. If you want a 7' bed you'll have to go with the Regular cab.

I didn't think it was a possibility bc I've never heard of it. It really is too bad b/c some ppl just need that extra space... Oh well...

I know how you can make it work. See if you can get one of those steel basket bed extenders they use on the Explorer SportTrak. With that, you put the tailgate down, and the bed extender gate makes the bed longer by the length of the tailgate.

I'm not sure that they fit the Ranger, but I'd think you could get something that would work.

When you're ready for a toolbox, check them out at http://www.buyautotruckaccessories.com/categories.cfm/cf-bin/cn.truck-tool-box/gid.101002/. Good Luck in the Air Force!
