Question Manifold leak?

I had the clutch and oil seals replaced on my 99 F-150 4.2 5 speed. When i drove the truck home from the mechanic, i noticed the truck was running under power. I took the truck back and they ran it for codes, but there weren't any. About a week later, i heard a ticking sound from the engine. It sounds to me like a manifold leakor injectors. I know the engine is lifted when the clutch is replaced, but is the manifold exhaust removed or loosened in any way to install the clutch? My truck has 72,000 miles on it. I don't know at this point if it is something the mechanic did or if it was time anyway to replace the manifold gasket.

If the engine is lifted, then they have to unbolt the exhaust. They most likely unbolted the flange where the manifolds meet the rest of the exhaust before the cats. The gasket probably got nicked, or never sealed up again.

That or they went cheap and reused the oil gaskets.
